Howdy,
My name is Cory Wall, and I am a professional bullfighter. I rodeo all over the country and get to use rodeo as a tool to let people know that God loves them and He has provided a way for them to be in right standing with Him.
My testimony is a little different than most people. I was raised in a good Christian home and went to a great church since the day my mother brought me home from the hospital. The closest people in my life went to our church and one of my best friends was my Pastor's kid. So, I had good direction for my life from the very start.
As I entered high school, I was becoming a very competitive athlete and was often called upon to pray before various events. It seemed as though everyone knew that I was a Christian.
With a strong conviction in my heart and high goals athletically, I never gave into the peer pressure to party or drink alcohol. Often times my so called friends would try to make me feel less popular since my lifestyle was so different from theirs, but I knew deep down that they had a respect for the decisions I made. Things didn't change much in college and on into my 20's, because I kind of did my own thing in spite of what my friends thought.
Even though I never drifted away from God, I still had some mess ups along the way, but He was always there to forgive me and take me back.
I had a lot of plans for my life but it seemed like there was always a dead end at the end of every road. I knew there had to be something more than just rodeoing, working and hanging around the same people.

In 1989 I went to a Sankey rodeo school and there I met Lyle Sankey and Cody Custer. I was truly amazed by their faith in Jesus and yet they were world class rodeo athletes. I could really listen to what they had to say because I could relate to them and I had a great deal of respect for them.
A few years later I felt that I needed more direction in my life and felt on the inside that I needed to go to Bible school... so I loaded up and headed to Oklahoma. Those were 2 of the best years of my life, and also 2 of the hardest years of my life.
I didn't really have anyone around me who had the same common interests. I began to pray that God would send someone across my path that with the same common interests... someone that I could become close to with. A short time later, I met Tony and Cindy Shoulders.
Tony and Cindy were starting to go into the ministry full time, and I tried to help in any way I could. They were a real encouragement to me and when I needed anything they would always believe God with me.
I later started to fight bulls at PRCA rodeos working for Southern Rodeo Co, and then for Neal Gay at Mesquite Championship Rodeo in Mesquite, TX. This has truly been something that the Lord wanted me to do. God has been faithful and has showed me how He wants me to use my bullfighting to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ.
As I look back over my life, I can see how God has kept me from so much worldly stuff so that I can share with young people that you don't have to do things the world's way first in order to appreciate God's way. God has a plan for everyone... why waste time doing things your way?

Susie Luchsinger
Susie Luchsinger’s smile
is a genuine one -- and a familiar one. With more than a passing physical
resemblance to her sister, singer/actress Reba McEntire, Susie also shares her
big sister’s musical giftings. But Susie has directed her talents to the
country/gospel music field over the past few years, garnering much acclaim from
her peers and fans alike. In addition to numerous awards and nominations from
TNN, GMA, and CCMA, Susie has been named “Artist of the Year” several times in
the field of Positive Country Music. She has also scored four #1 singles on the
Positive Country radio charts. However, more than her notoriety, it is Susie’s
faithfulness in the midst of difficulties and her genuine compassion for others
that inspires the people around her.
Susie’s most recent project COUNT IT ALL JOY is considered to
be one of her best projects to date. Produced by Darrin Vincent (Ricky Skaggs)
and featuring some of Nashville’s most sought-after musicians, COUNT IT
ALL JOY features strong songs of hope that break new ground in
“positive” country music. Her current single, “There’s Still Hope,” has already
gained airplay on several mainstream radio stations across the U.S.
Raised on an Oklahoma ranch, Susie began singing as a teenager with her siblings, Pake and Reba, as the “Singing McEntires.” In 1980, after graduating from Oklahoma State University, Susie was singing with her sister again, only this time her sister had become country superstar Reba McEntire. In addition to performing concerts in front of sold-out crowds, they made television appearances on programs such as “The Johnny Carson Show,” “Hee Haw,” and “The Grand Ole Opry.” It was during this time that they also toured with renowned artists such as Ronnie Milsap and Merle Haggard.
While still touring with Reba in 1981, Susie married Paul Luchsinger, a professional rodeo steer wrestler. As the demands of two busy careers became overwhelming, Susie and Paul came to a self-described “low point” in their marriage. “There were power struggles and a lot of pride issues,” she says. “The only way Paul knew how to express his emotions was by yelling and pushing…he didn’t know how to control himself.” Realizing there was a better plan for her life and her marriage, Susie made a recommitment to God, vowing to use her talents in gospel music. She began touring the rodeo circuit: Susie would sing and Paul would wrestle steers. They were together 24 hours a day, but the days were not getting any better.
Paul’s mental abuse turned physical. And just like clockwork, after each abusive incident, he would apologize and promise that it would never happen again. But the promises were never kept. Slowly, reality began to set in for Susie as she realized the man she married was capable of harming her and emotionally terrorizing her children. Susie began to weigh her options: stay in the marriage she worked so hard to build and try to “work things out,” or pack her bags, gather her children, and leave her husband in hopes of starting a new life.
Six years after the abusive behavior began, Susie took a bold step against Paul’s behavior for the safety of herself and her children. With the help of trusted friends, Susie found the courage to confront her husband, insisting that they both participate in various methods of marital counseling. The process was slow, and at times, Susie felt like giving up. But in the midst of it all, God became her refuge and strength. She cried, she prayed, and cried some more, and desperately sought the best solution for herself and her children.
It was during this time that Paul and Susie decided to write about their story, resulting in the book A Tender Road Home. Susie’s hope was that their story would inspire others in similar situations to deal with their problems head on. And while Susie and Paul’s relationship began to improve over the course of a few years, there were still warning signs that things were not right.
Finally, Susie had to make a difficult choice. “I asked Paul to leave,” she recalls. “I told him I didn't want a divorce; didn't want another man, but I couldn't live like this anymore. If it had been just me in the situation, I probably would not have had the motivation to deal with it, but I knew that if I didn't protect my kids --who were 17, 14 and 11 at the time-- no one would. I also had to deal with the fact that I was being an enabler to Paul’s behavior. This was a very big step for me.”
“Many women ask me how they can turn their husbands around. And my best advice is to get out of the way and let God have a clear shot. When Paul was forced to be away from us, he began to realize his anger problems could no longer be blamed on someone else. He had no choice but to look inward. It was during that time that he truly surrendered his life and his emotions to God.”
Susie began to witness true changes in her husband’s attitude and behavior, and eventually, they reconciled. “The good news about our marriage,” says Susie, “is that now, we not only love each other, but we like each other too.”
After the journey she has taken, Susie’s new CD, COUNT IT ALL JOY, is not just another collection of inspiring songs, it has become her life story.
“The title song is based
on the scripture in James that says, ‘Count it all joy when you fall into
various trials.’ And honestly, when you’re in the midst of the pain and anguish
of those trials, you feel anything but joyful. But looking back now, with 20/20
vision, I can clearly see God’s hand of guidance through all of those difficult
moments. And by sharing my story, I hope it will help someone else find their
way through whatever they may be facing. I can think of no greater purpose for
my music than that.”
